‘Closing down’ signs go up outside Mike Ashley’s designer clothes store after £1m Yarm property sold

The House in Yarm is set to close next month as a closing down sale gets underway.

Signs on the front of the Grade II listed building have revealed that shoppers have a matter of weeks before the store ceases trading. The High Street site, which has been owned by billionaire Mike Ashley since 2020, now has “all stock must go” signs covering parts of the elegant building front.

While a final date has not yet been confirmed, posters on the windows have set July as its closure month. Teesside Live reported just last week that the site had finally been sold months after going on the market with a £1.2m price tag.
